Bangor Pride Schools Conference On Wednesday 23.11.11 more than 60 school pupils from eight schools in Bangor attended the Bangor Pride Schools Conference at Ysgol Tryfan, Bangor chaired by Councillor John Wyn Jones. The programme included activities based on: The University consulted with young people regarding the Pontio scheme. Representatives of the Gwynedd Concultancy consulted the pupils regarding a proposal to develop Tan y Fynwent. Gwenllian Roberts from Gwynedd Council were present to discuss environmental topic with the teachers and the pupils. Also present were representatives of the North Wales Police to help the pupils in the workshops. It was an excellent opportunity for the views of the young people of Bangor to be heard and acted upon. The pupils and teachers gave a very positive feedback. All the feedback will be circulated to schools so that they can share the information with their fellow pupils.   |
