The Listed Building Index has been developed by Bangor
Civic Society, based on the
1988
CADW survey of Listed Buildings (pdf 585kb).
Apart from the obvious improvement of putting it on
the internet we've updated the information by removing
buildings which no longer exist (such as the outbuildings
to the Bishops Palace).
We've added current and where possible historical images
and put it all together with a variety of ways for searching
the 90 or so listed buildings Bangor has to offer. And
finally added a digital copy of
Wood's
1834 map of Bangor which is frequently refered to
in the text.
