Welcome to the Retail Walkthrough. In February 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 we photographed the retail areas of central Bangor. The result is a fairly comprehensive visual record of the city.
This is both interesting historically and as a facility to inform debate about how the city is developing. We can also see the businesses who take pride in their appearance and those for whom broken shop fascias and signs linger for years.
The 2008/2009 series has been updated to include postal addresses and any relevant historical or architectural information about the building or retailer. It is important to remember that these are snapshots of the city, this is not a directory listing..
